Hanging in there

Dear Astrology Room

I'm a Leo born 11/8/1981, my relationship has just ended with a Sagittarius born 27/11/1979. When we met last july we both felt that we had met our soul mate. Very recently he has lost his job and two family members, the most recent being someone he was extremely close to.

He has ended the relationship because he feels it isn't fair on me as he isn't happy with life and is feeling messed up. He says he still has feelings but it isn't fair to continue with the relationship and he needs to be on his own. This has come as such a shock to me and everyone we know as we have recently discussed moving in together, marriage and starting a family. I feel at such a loss and don't know whether to grieve the relationship or hold on for him. I could do with some guidance as I've had mixed answers from friends and family.

Hello Leo!

First and foremost you have to understand that it is much easier for impulsive fire signs such as Sagittarians to throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak. Your partner has experienced such pain that he finds it hard to have anything around him that reminds him of his bad times. You need to ignore him and carry on, as by simply being there he will realise you're not leaving him but that you're around for the long haul. Patience is your best friend right now. He obviously cares for you and loves you but is finding it hard to allow himself any happiness. Stick in there, as two fire signs together is a battle worth fighting for.
