Trying too hard?

First, I would like to thank-you for the horoscopes and information you provide on this site. For 3 years I have been single without really having prospective partners for dating or a relationship. Love has eluded me and it is not for lack of trying. I'm often asked why am I single or what a 'catch' I am. Yet, still here I am – just me. I am settled in my career, own a home and am independant (almost to a fault, I guess). I'm ready to share my life with someone, especially as I have lived and done everything on my own my entire life. Timing or alignments have often been favorable as I read, but no such luck in the relationship department. A typical Arian, I'm not extremely patient though I have worked on this. I cannot help but be discouraged at this stage in my life. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank-you for reading. My DOB: April 10,1976 (east st.time U.S.A).

Now, as for your predicament. I have looked at your chart, but as you didn't supply your time of birth, I have limited advice right now to give you.

Yes, you are an independent, spirited, autonomous Aries with a Leo moon to boost that bright, sparkling, self-confident (on the surface) 'wanting it all now' persona; there is also lots of watery stuff in your chart, which plummets you into darker emotions. You swerve between great fiery ideals and the sense of belonging which is missing in your life. Yet you have no planets (apart from a generational placement of Pluto in Libra) in the air signs. Could this be a sign (to the astrologer at least) that for all your charm, life skills, motivation, desires and ability to get on with life, there is a lack of empathy with anyone else? And I don't mean that unkindly. I mean that you are so self-aware, and so full of life, that other people, and that means potential partners, lovers, feel dumbfounded in your presence, and they feel worthless. This may well be provoked (the last few years particularly) by the pushy, irrational, cut-throat effect of Uranus, Pluto and Saturn in your chart, which means you have 'tried' to hard. You try to love, and that's not love. You try too hard, and you get hardly anywhere. This is a year to let go of looking, and you will be found.
