ARIES

Progress in April depends, more than usual, on what you’ve put in place in the past. Your creative spark and desire to get things done is all warmed up by Mars in Leo. But other planet patterns encourage you to question your values - or make sure that what you throw energy at represents something you really believe in. This probably includes love and romance. From mid-March onwards you’ll feel the love for sure, but it may be hard to know what’s going on. It’s not like you to feel bewildered, but if you can let these confusing feelings flow, you’ll discover some interesting things about yourself and your relationships. Be flexible, and take it slowly.

TAURUS

Venus, your energy source, and Mercury, tricksy planet of chitchat, are both in Taurus this April. Charm, taste, and musical delights should be part of your life now. Seeing your friends and sharing beauty and some fine food with them is compulsory. Avoid new financial or romantic speculation though. Yes, you’re super-cautious, but you’re capable of being misled too. Creative Taureans can capture some amazing ideas from their dreams this month, and that’s the thing to focus on. The next two months bring shifts in your world that have been building up for quite a while. Tuning in to your intuitive, creative core will help you make the right decisions when you need to. Plan me-time and bake a scrumptious cake.

GEMINI

Mercury is in Taurus this month. Not only that, it turns retrograde on 16th April until 11th May. And you know this means delays. So hurry to get things organized before the 16th, and prepare to be patient after that. There should be some amusing gossip, and perhaps even a little scandal to entertain you while you wait for forward movement in your world. The clash between Saturn and Uranus in Virgo and Pisces could throw up some important questions about your career and the shape of your future, so some time to ponder things is probably just what you need. Love and romance may be clandestine or a puzzling mix of friendship and passion. Just the way you like it. 

CANCER

Your direction in life is highlighted by an Aries new Moon on the 14th, and right around the same time helpful friends and contacts should be clustering around you and energising your sense of purpose. June Cancerians, in particular, are approaching a memorable turning point, but all of you are likely to notice the build-up of cosmic energy in the Cardinal signs that focuses on your own zodiac group. That’s Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.  What you gain during this process is clarity, and perhaps a desire to change your career or develop in new directions. Study, or pulling half-finished projects out of the cupboard, could be part of the way you’ll blossom this summer. Once you start, you won’t want to stop.

LEO

Vibrant Mars remains in Leo until June 6th, giving you a little boost every now and then. This should help you take advantage of fateful meetings and quirky opportunities - the kind that might not seem obvious at first, but the kind that intrigue you. Progress might seem to stall when Mercury backtracks from the 18th until May, but a little time to fine-tune your ideas is exactly what you’ll need - whether it’s romance, or your career that most concerns you. Love could be sexy around the 3rd, and soulful twenty days later. Either way, there should be less stress and more pleasure.  In many ways you’re completing tasks and leaving certain things behind in preparation for the very different, dynamic season that lies ahead.  Keep going.

VIRGO

It’s what you’ve got in common that creates that scintillating mental chemistry. So if you get the chance to kiss and make up with an old friend, do take it. Things get a mite more complex if an ex lover is involved, but unfinished business could be holding you both back. Being too rigid, especially if your birthday falls in late September, is not advisable this month. Nor should you simply rip out everything old and make a fresh start, it could turn out to be disappointing. Instead, you must balance skilfully on the cosmic tightrope, and listen to wise friends.  You will need love, friendship, and highly polished skills in the coming months. Make a start now, and get ahead of the game. 

LIBRA

You may not always agree with partners about the hows and whys of what you’re planning. Their opinions and ideas may seem ridiculously extravagant, impractical, or simply annoying. Agree to disagree for the time being, since much will be revealed by the end of April, and you could be altering your plans for May at the last minute. Indeed, you’re entering a phase where flexibility is more important than ever if you are to reap rewards for everything you’ve worked to achieve. The gradual build-up of energy in Cardinal signs like yours means that this could be a remarkable year for you. It may not turn out quite how you planned, but a few surprises can be a life-enhancing experience. Perfection is death. Embrace a little creative chaos.

SCORPIO

Bursts of inventive creativity come and go this April.  Your playful qualities infuse love and romance too, surprising your partner in a good way. Single Scorpios are in the mood for love too, particularly between the 13th and the 18th. While your everyday routines seem to take up far too much time, there are people happy to help you out.  All you have to do is swallow your fierce pride and ask for advice and support. Mars remains in Leo until 7th June, so you can expect career matters to remain at the top of your list. However, all work and no play really does make for a dull, resentful, and ultimately ineffective Scorpio. You’re one of the most driven characters in the zodiac. But make sure you’re not in the right car driving down the wrong road. 

SAGITTARIUS

The stand-off between Saturn and Uranus at the end of April repeats an ongoing theme for you that’s been around for quite a while. Where are you heading? Your inner philosopher ponders this question, and finds no definitive answers. All you can do is explore innovative ideas, while protecting your security.  Perhaps you must move more slowly than you’d like, but a little juggling now pays off.  What you need to leave behind becomes crystal clear in May - continuing to assess your options now puts you in a stronger position when finally make your move.  Besides, Mercury retrograde from the 18th April until 11th May suggests that the devil’s in the pesky little details. Prepare the ground, and luck will find you ready and waiting in June.

CAPRICORN

Saturn, your ruling planet, backtracks into earthy Virgo for the last time on the 7th April, staying there until July. So what have you overlooked? Forgotten? Ignored? Something you thought had gone away may return to annoy or bewilder you this summer, but you’ll be able to sort things out once and for all. Letting go of the past is never easy for you, but something’s probably got to go - even if it’s only a pile of old jumpers or your old computer. Again, like many other signs, you’re really getting ready for the summer now for you sense the approach of planet shifts and eclipses in the Cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Libra). A wise Capricorn knows coming events cast their shadows before them. Use your inner guidance, and be prepared.

AQUARIUS

Why can’t everyone see things your way? April may begin with the odd spat, or even a full-blown row, but you know how to ride out a storm. And when you analyse it, you realise that this disagreement is not what it seems. Power struggles now have deep roots and a long history. Communication is always the key, and a spot of negotiation should help too. You’ve been thinking about what you treasure in your life for some time, and if you’re typical of your sign you’ve been looking for ways to feel more fulfilled and creative. You tend to think big, but this month baby steps might be the answer. What little thing can you do towards changing your life? A series of minor changes will eventually lead to that bigger change you’re dreaming of. 

PISCES

What seems disruptive this month is only setting the stage for positive changes in May. Perhaps you need to settle something with a partner or close friend? Helpful vibrations gather around you from mid-month until that potent Scorpio full Moon on the 28th, opening out your horizons and inspiring your curiosity.  You have Jupiter in Pisces until early June, and then again in the autumn and winter. Since it abandons you for the summer, you’d be well-advised to make the most of its visionary energies this spring to firm up those dreams and polish up your projects. One to one romance can flourish too, with a feeling that fate is sprinkling sparkly stuff in your path. As, indeed, it is. Do what you do best, and tune in to your wonderful intuition.
