ARIES

Great ideas and enthusiasm are part of your cosmic inheritance, and with Jupiter and Uranus now in Aries those qualities are more sparkly than ever. But other people don’t always fall in with your plans, do they? July’s turbulent skies point this out to you, loud and clear. Watch closely between the 5th and 10th  before rushing in to take action either in your intimate personal life, or at work. What you discover then may change your mind. The solar eclipse on 11th July emphasises your roots, home, and perhaps your past as well. Buried treasure in the form of neglected talents or old friends could reappear in your life, enriching it and helping you form a new vision of what your life might be. Accept you’re in transition, and enjoy exploring your fertile imagination.

TAURUS

Changes to your routine or your home surroundings are unsettling, but probably inevitable this July. There’s a lot of talking between the 7th and 10th, but basically certain things are simply out of your hands now. Passion strengthens you mid-month, when deep love and desire surface in your dreams and, we always hope, your life too. Little by little you see that some goals, or even beliefs, just aren’t working for you. What drains your energy? What do you resent? Chiron, the zodiac’s catalyst, returns to emphasise your life direction and spirituality on the 19th, subtly influencing your chart until early 2011.  Yes, you’ve wrestled with these thoughts before, but now it’s time to see what you’ve learned in recent years and begin to make some important decisions.

GEMINI

Uncompromising planets Mars and Saturn in Virgo are asking you to look at how you organise your world this July. Maybe you’re planning home improvements, a financial review, or some other practical projects. But whatever your eventual aims, you’ll realise you can’t mess about much longer. Both these planets are poised to enter your fellow air sign, Libra, later in July when the focus shifts towards your creative output and romance (or lack of it).  Either way, it’s time to let some light into your life so that you can sort out priorities and dump draining, obsessive worries in the bin where they belong. Over the past couple of years things have changed for you, and you’ve been busy just getting on with it. Now’s the time to sit back a little and ponder what, and who, you want with you in the future. CANCER

A total solar eclipse in Cancer on the 11th July means inner upheavals for many of you. Some of you are already mulling over what happened in late June, others are experiencing vivid dreams or strong intuitive feelings and know that life is a little more intense than usual. Your powerful emotions and slightly spooky side stand you in good stead now as you’re able to take this energy and use it to help yourself. Your opinions may alter radically, you may fall in or out of love, you may finally begin an important project you’ve been thinking about. Unusual activity in all four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) means that sometimes you won’t know where to begin. But in getting to grips with something, you’ll ease the pressure and feel more productive. Start small and aim high. The sky’s the limit.

LEO

Indecision is not a favourite word in your vocabulary. But certain aspects this month suggest that either you, or someone close to you, is struggling with decisions or discussions about what to do next. This annoying phase could affect you professionally or personally, especially around the 7-10th July, and again between the 20th and 23rd. While you can’t push the river, you can make use of all the strong Virgo vibes around this month to fine-tune your finances.  And do set aside a little time each day to fine-tune yourself - meditate, gaze at the flowers, or nourish your creativity. Love and money are intertwined for a while, but playfulness begins to return once the Sun enters Leo on the 22nd.  Meanwhile, mouth-watering opportunities to travel or study could involve major effort, with transformative results. VIRGO

A generous helping of Virgo energy this July boosts your desire to seize the day and be dynamic.  But you’ll inevitably be thinking about the past couple of years too.  If you feel a sense of loss or bewilderment, that’s only natural. Just know that your path has been cleared, even if certain events were not ones you might have chosen.  Friends and acquaintances pop up this month with all kinds of suggestions, invitations, and inspirations. Single Virgos may even find love in the unlikeliest of places, or at an event that didn’t look that promising. Around the total solar eclipse on the 11th, your quirky ideas and sharp wit attract admirers, maybe even passionate ones. It’s a month of fateful twists and turns, so why not take a stroll and see what washes up on your particular beach?

LIBRA

1992 seems like a very long time ago. But you might make a fascinating discovery about yourself if you ransack your inner archives and think about what was going on way back then. A theme is repeating itself this July, one that connects with your roots and also those big dreams, ambitions and visions you have. This time, you’re ready for more responsibility and commitment in love, and at work. Saturn enters Libra on the 21st, where this planet of hard work and lasting achievements remains until October 2012.  It’s a pivotal time for you, and a great time to make practical plans. Current celestial influences say that you’ll be challenged and stretched to your limits and beyond. You are more than ready, and you’ve got some wonderful support around you. There’ll be erratic moments, but by the airy full Moon on the 26th you’ll have something to celebrate.

SCORPIO

Something you thought had gone away returns this month, giving you a chance to look at it with fresh eyes and the benefit of experience. You’re in the mood to learn, to create happy times or vibrant projects with others, and to explore new ideas. It’s a positive time for travel, particularly earlier in the month. Once the Sun enters Leo on the 22nd, your ambitious streak kicks in and you’ll be more inclined to focus on where you’re heading. Those brilliant ideas that were around in early July can be sifted and sorted, and the same goes for romantic possibilities if you’re currently single and dating. As the month unfolds, there will be no planets in water signs – you’ll have to wait until September before your own element returns to support you. So remember to take it easy as well. Driven as you usually are, you need to cherish your vitality too.

SAGITTARIUS

Ah, the old work versus play conundrum. That’s partly what you’ll be dealing with this July as strong Virgoan energies emphasise your ambitions, while mad Uranus and generous Jupiter inspire a rich brew of sexy, arty, romantic feelings. But you’re a natural philosopher, and you’ll find a balance if you experiment.  Besides, productive, creative thinking really does benefit from a playful approach, so don’t feel guilty. A new approach to finances and practical matters around the 11th, and some fascinating gossip around the 13th and 14th  boosts your determination to carve out a new path for yourself professionally or in your intimate world. Explore possibilities, and by the full Moon on the 26th you’ll be clear about who stays, and who (or what) must go.

CAPRICORN

Your ruling planet, Saturn, finally enters Libra for a long stay on the 21st July. Sorting out lingering tangles from the past couple of years is a great thing to do this month, before you really begin to feel Saturn’s influence kicking in. Numerous criss-cross aspects in Cardinal signs like yours mean that you’re in the cosmic spotlight this summer. Which areas of your life are affected? That will depend upon your individual horoscope. But it is true to say that whether you’re experiencing inner revelations, struggling with your career, or battling it out in your relationships you are at a point of change and transition. Saturn is happy in Libra, and should act as a positive aid. If you want to break free and take on new responsibilities or commitments, the planets are on your side.  Resistance is futile.

AQUARIUS

Neptune in Aquarius, and your ancient ruler, Saturn make some complex little connections this month. A month that ends with a whiz bang full Moon in your sign. So the potential for delightful confusion is high. You’re thinking about your resources, and not just about money or possessions either. What have you got, and how can you make the most of it, is the question of the month. New routines or changes around the home are distracting, but probably temporary. No need to waste a lot of energy on those, instead cultivating some inner peace and listening to your true self promises to be more fulfilling. Your modern ruler, Uranus, will be travelling backwards until December, favouring a more considered approach too. Rash decisions to ease pressure are probably not the way to go. Breathe in. Breathe out.

PISCES

Embrace early July and the abundant energy of the approaching Cancer eclipse on the 11th. Your creative energies can overcome all sorts of tedious hurdles at this time, and your ability to think of innovative solutions to your problems is highest with planets in water signs on your side. Later in July you’ll need to think carefully about how to win people round, or how to reassure a good friend or partner that you really care. They, in turn, will be more communicative later in July, helping everyone to sort out longstanding niggles or agree to put past disagreements behind you. There’s a long-term focus on what you treasure, and although this connects to cash and earnings, it also means looking at new ways to use your amazing gifts and talents.
