ARIES

As March begins your thoughts turn to excavating your most personal, buried memories and dreams. It might not be straightforward, but there’s a rich vein of gold hidden in your subconscious, and you might as well use the potent line up of planets in Pisces to uncover your own hidden treasures. Your ruling planet, Mars, is in this subtle sign all month - your routines and schedules may tend to descend into chaos, but creativity and stunning insights should be your reward. Clandestine romance or business deals drain your energy and though tempting, are probably not your best course of action. Later on this month you’ll have Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter and Sun on your side - the beginning of an astonishing build-up of fiery energy that promises an April to remember. Be prepared!


TAURUS

If you need help or advice, you only have to ask. Venus in Aquarius attracts cash, compliments, and support this March - and favours the thrill of unexpected luck in the days around the 11th. Friendship is always important to you, and with so many planets swimming around in Pisces in early March you’ll find you want to cherish it more than usual. Friends can spark new ideas, make you smile, or prevent you from getting too bogged down in your daily routines. And asking yourself questions about your everyday life and habitual thought patterns is an ongoing theme this month. What works? What trips you up? Interesting answers pop into your head at the new Moon on the 4th, and around the full Moon on the 18th. GEMINI

It’s easy to get distracted by gossip and frivolous fun, but sometimes you need the release like a volcano needs to erupt. Mars is in Pisces all month, backed up by a flotilla of Piscean planets and a new Moon as March begins. What’s been exercising your mind for weeks, perhaps months, now fills your mind endlessly and you know what they say about all work and no play.  Now, many of you realise you’re at the very end of one phase, and poised on the brink of a new era for work, love, and self-expression. Random thoughts, conversations, and encounters drop fascinating clues in your path all month, all you have to do is pay attention and make a note of what occurs to you. Expanding shared projects is your spring focus so unleash your imagination. Love, home, and career are all ready for you to help them flourish.


CANCER

Your sea-water spirit relaxes, temporarily, into creative dreams of travel, spiritual bliss, or educational fulfilment. If you’re planning a holiday, business trip, or course of study the new Moon in Pisces might be a wonderful time to get started. Some of you are busy tying up loose ends in some area of your lives. Cancerians are famously intuitive, and many of you have known since last summer that you’re setting out on a meaningful new path in some area of your life. Certain ambitions or goals will seem increasingly urgent this spring, so take this time to wander off the path now and again and exercise your gift for friendship, romance, and quirky humour. Uranus in Aries from the 12th, plus the energetic presence of Jupiter, promise unexpected inspiration in your career. So you really can loosen your grip a little, and indulge yourself.


LEO

Have you ever watched a cat stretch itself luxuriously, limb by limb? It’s slow, deliberate and pleasurable. Little by little you, too, feel as if you’re waking from a long sleep, and now it’s time to stretch, yawn, and pad out into a wider and more exciting world. Intriguing romantic distractions are flitting about out there if you’re eligible - Mars in Pisces delivers fateful encounters, while Venus in Aquarius enlivens partnerships this month.  But the gradual build-up of planets in fiery Aries suggests that you’ll want a romance that opens the door to new adventures, and if it disappoints you then you’ll be going in search of adventure anyway. For some, this involves a creative project, for others travel or study. Friendship rediscovers old links and creates some vibrant new connections. Embrace it all, this is just the beginning.


VIRGO

Sometimes it’s hard to be a Virgo. And over the past several years other people have had a great deal of influence over your life - whether at work, at home, or in the shape of difficult characters who’ve needed careful handling. Helping others comes naturally to you, and how lovely. But not if you’re feeling mutinous and resentful underneath. Time to lay your cards on the table and work out some new ground rules perhaps?  Early March is a positive time to do some deep thinking - a new Moon on the 4th gets you started. By the time of your own full Moon on the 18th you’re ready to close one chapter and begin to generate more income, passion, and energy in your life. Your ruling planet, Mercury, turns retrograde on the 30th, so you’ve got plenty of time to explore new ideas, review them in April, and surprise everybody in May.


LIBRA

Over the past six months or so you’ve reached some sort of turning point, but may not have been ready to make firm decisions. Some of you have found decisions being made for you, or certain people, places, or things simply disappearing from your world. Luckily, Venus, your ruling planet, travels through supportive Aquarius for most of March, boosting your charm and artistic flair. And although you often prefer to have things your own way, partners and friends can give you great advice and inspiration mid-month. Team work in love, and at work, is a major theme for you this spring as the planets gather in your opposite sign, Aries.  Others may surprise you during the coming months, but what comes up around the end of March gives you a chance to use your peerless diplomatic skills to make any changes work for you.


SCORPIO

Revel in watery vibes as March begins, and take advantage of Mars (your traditional ruler) in Pisces to explore both creativity and imagination. A Pisces new Moon on the 4th further boosts your artistic and romantic side - so if you’ve been thinking about a project or want to revitalise your love life, that would be the perfect time to begin. By the 12th both Mercury, planet of the mind, and Uranus, planet of revolution, will be testing your resolve as they travel through uncompromising Aries. Yes you’re strong-willed and patient, but why wait? There are distractions at home, and some happy moments with guests and visitors to amuse you, but that’s just a side-show. Mars has not energised you like this for two years. Chiron is in Pisces too, helping you heal old wounds and release more vitality. You know what you want to do, so don’t hold back.


SAGITTARIUS

You know the past shapes the present in many subtle ways. But sometimes events and people from the past are in the spotlight, or seem to be having more of an influence than usual. And March is one of those times that allows you to value the best of your own past achievements and friendships, and come to terms with certain moments or individuals that may have held you back in some way. Your ruling planet, Jupiter, travels through compatible Aries until June, promising a sparkly slice of timely good fortune or even romance this spring. Uranus in Aries from the 12th opens a new phase for you too, with unusual possibilities and people refreshing your life or even surprising you. The new (4th) and full (19th) Moons highlight both past and future - keep an open mind now, and keep asking questions. Answers await you.


CAPRICORN

The stand-off between expansive Jupiter and sober Saturn, your ruling planet, is brewing for the whole of March. You want to stretch out and explore, but at the same time money’s tight, or other people are creating restrictions.  Now, none of this is exactly new, yet something seems to be reaching a point where you must face up to certain situations and begin to work out what to do next. You’re naturally good at making plans and taking control, but do allow a little room for random events and inspirations to work their magic around the time of the equinox on the 20th.  What you learn then proves invaluable whether it’s your career, family, or home that concerns you most. This is a challenging spring, but a fast-moving one with matchless potential. You’ll be far more relaxed by June, so make the most of it.


AQUARIUS

Your values and ethics are a core part of who you are, and yet many of those beliefs have been challenged, tested, or even overturned during the past seven years or so. But it’s a new season in more ways than one, as Uranus, your ruling planet, moves from permeable Pisces into straightforward Aries this month. PISCES

A month with Mars in Pisces plus your own annual new Moon is a special one, particularly as the Sun will be in Pisces too until the 20th. Most importantly, you’re able to say no to people who drain your energy and yes to those who are resolutely on your side. In just a few weeks your ruler, Neptune, enters Pisces for the first time since the 19th century.
