ARIES March 21 - April 20

MONEY
Though rewards and profits may seem slow in coming early in the year, you’ll feel compensated in March when Jupiter befriends powerful Pluto. However, you must avoid letting success go to your head in mid-summer when you might overstretch yourself, financially. Another money-related scare in September will prepare you for a serious rethink in October when Saturn changes signs. The end of the year should be all about revisiting and tightening up budgets that have a way of catching you out.

CAREER
Mars in the most competent section of your chart for the first half of the year means you can achieve a great deal in an extremely challenging area. Around mid-summer and again in September you may question sacrifices you have to make within your personal life for the sake of potential success. But there is a compromise that can be found. In autumn accept that Saturn and Neptune are bringing guidance from someone who wants nothing more than to see you reach the top.

LOVE
Allow the Full Moon in early February to encourage you to let your heart rule your head. By early April the outcome will be plain for all to see. A burgeoning romance or a strengthening of existing ties will have a positive impact on your life. However, something discovered while Mercury is retrograde in July and August could make you wonder whether you’ve been misled. Don’t believe everything you hear. You might even see a long-held dream come true by mid-winter.


TAURUS April 21 - May 21

MONEY
Talk of your potential success might leave you wondering whether you’ll be rich by the time spring arrives. Certainly by Easter with Venus in Gemini you’ll be re-evaluating your skills as a means of generating extra income. Expect to feel a boost in June when Jupiter changes signs, encouraging you to chase your dreams. Financial affairs should be uneventful until early November when retrograde Mercury threatens to disguise vital facts. Be on your guard, at least until the end of the year.

CAREER
Early in the year you should be in the spotlight. But you’ll realise as spring approaches that there’s a lot to discover and develop behind the scenes. Certainly with Saturn urging you to be at your most diligent for much of 2012 you should settle for personal fulfilment, invaluable experiences and increased knowledge. With Venus in Libra during November you should find that your hard work has paid off and that someone influential is ready to back you all the way.

LOVE
You’ll have lots to talk about from mid-January onwards as a special relationship intensifies. So look forward to the completion of something meaningful around the time of the Full Moon on 6 May. Even more romantic overtures will be played during the summer. Promise yourself you won’t resent being forced to let the practical side of your life overshadow a close link in early autumn. GEMINI May 22 - June 21

MONEY
Rather than avoid money talk in early 2012 you’ll want to discuss hopes and fears, especially after 27 January when Mercury changes signs. Don’t assume others are as scrupulous as you are when it comes to checks and balances. Around midsummer Pluto will provide cause to celebrate but avoid becoming extravagant. A challenge initiated by a Pluto-Uranus clash in September will enable others to see you in an extremely positive light. Make sure they realise that you work for all that you have.

CAREER
Could this be the year your dreams come true work-wise as Neptune occupies the most powerful point in your chart? Yes, hitches will occur. But once Saturn changes signs in October and allies itself to Neptune you’ll gain access to people and situations capable of bringing out the best in you. Make sure that by the time of the Solar Eclipse on 13 November you’re ready to put the achievements of your closest rivals well and truly in the shadows.

LOVE
Speak openly about affairs of the heart and by mid-February under the influence of a Sun-Saturn link you should be delighted with the outcome. Even so, there could be surprises in store and you must manage your expectations of someone close. Information coming your way in early June mustn’t encourage you to devalue something worthwhile. You sometimes allow others to rain on your parade. Be especially careful in November when retrograde Mercury brings out the worst in one particular rival.


CANCER June 22 - July 23

MONEY
Avoid underestimating someone else’s financial skills, especially in late January when the Sun and Mercury are highlighting collaboration. Throughout spring and early summer others will be watching your every move in the hope of picking up tips on how you are doing so well. However, with Mercury retrograde for three weeks or so from mid-July you must scrutinise a partnership or contract. Keeping your reputation intact is crucial so that towards the end of the year you can mastermind an exciting joint endeavour.

CAREER
Prove that your unconventional approach to some areas of work really do pay off, especially from early February when Venus joins forces with Uranus. Minor hitches in the spring must be put down to experience so that by the time of the Lunar Eclipse in early summer you have a complex set-up well within your grasp. Defend yourself when you feel you’re under attack but remain on the best possible terms with competitors. As the year comes to a close remember dignity is everything.

LOVE
Things may seem dull romantically but you can rely on Pluto to act as Cupid, especially in March. However, you may have to guard your reputation in mid-summer when under the influence of Uranus your behaviour is seen as slightly shocking. Will you learn from this episode? Probably not because something similar occurs in September. That’s why it’s fortunate that Saturn changes signs in autumn and you take love and romance more seriously. Does adult behaviour have to be dull? Not a bit.


LEO July 24 - August 23

MONEY
Promise yourself that you’ll remain pragmatic rather than let your ideas run away with you. Neptune’s change of signs in February will reawaken hopes and dreams connected to money-making ventures you’ve had to abandon in the past. Pursue them optimistically but keep your feet on the ground, especially around mid-summer when Jupiter persuades you to take chances. For some of your best ideas to formulate you may have to wait until October when a Saturn-Neptune link provides inspiration and dedication.

CAREER
Enjoy playing to an influential crowd from January to June while Jupiter dominates the high point of your chart. You might even find that in March your achievements surpass everyone’s expectations. VIRGO August 24 - September 23

Creative ventures will cause excitement but you must scrutinise outgoings, especially in late January when Mercury is at right-angles to Saturn. This could be a challenging year financially. And Pluto’s run-in with Uranus around mid-summer will force you to accept that the innovative thinking of a colleague or companion isn’t entirely reliable. Unless you keep it in check there may be further concerns developing in September. Slow, steady growth is what you should aim for from then until the end of the year.

CAREER
Once the Sun changes signs on 20 January you’ll regain any lost enthusiasm for work and responsibilities. If you can keep your head down till Jupiter reaches the high point of your chart in early June you’ll be richly rewarded. The second half of the year is very much about showing yourself off to the best of your abilities and knowing how and when to make the most of some valuable contacts without appearing to use them or schmooze them.

Someone promising to make your dreams come true must be allowed to get one or two things wrong once Neptune changes signs in early February. Have faith in a long, slow build-up to a worthwhile joint financial project which should come good in mid-March when Jupiter’s befriending Pluto.   This should set you up for months provided you don’t take risks.   By early autumn when Saturn enters Scorpio changes must be carefully monitored.   Late November is a vulnerable time as retrograde Mercury plays games in a financial section of your chart.  Persuade colleagues and companions that there can be no short-cuts as far as your accounts are concerned. 

CAREER
Long-held ambitions that have eluded you in the past could become a reality.  But wait until Neptune changes signs in February before presenting your ideas to VIPs.   Remember, the glittering prizes come as a result of grit and muscle, not just being in the right place at the right time.  When you’re challenged in June remember that Jupiter is making your critics sound more influential than they really are.   Figures published in October will be a cause for celebrations before 2012 is out.

Don’t panic if others stop referring to your financial expertise early in 2012.  If they miss out on what you have to offer that’s their loss.  By the time of the Solar Eclipse in May you’ll be attracting the attention of influential people. Avoid becoming too compliant with those who have previously doubted your judgment.   Capitalise on unexpected developments in June when you’ll see the beginning of a lucrative project.  Somebody suggesting you replace clever calculations with guess-work in November must be ignored.

CAREER
Try to see any set-back as an opportunity to prove yourself.  If plans are pulled apart once Mercury changes direction in early March go back to the drawing board and start again, even if others find flaws in your work when Mercury makes more mischief in July.  The more resilient you are to criticism the more likely you are to produce fantastic results, especially as summer begins to fade.  You’ll be entering a period of enlightenment and recognition rather than darkness and disappointment.

LOVE

Remain fearless as you talk about financial exploits early in the year.  By Easter you’ll be finalising arrangements for a money-making scheme with which others will want to be involved.  One person’s off-beat ideas might sound impressive when under the influence of a Pluto-Uranus set-to in June.    But rely on your own talents rather than other people’s unconventional means of getting things done and bringing in money.    Mars in Capricorn from mid-November will provide the confidence to say what you mean and believe it.

CAREER
Show how dedicated you are when you have total belief in yourself and your allies. You’ll experience a steady start to your working year and new-found interest in whatever you’re producing will make it all worthwhile in March when Jupiter is allied to Pluto.   This will set the scene for the rest of 2012 so that even set-backs will fail to dampen your spirits.  One outcome you seek may seem likely to elude you for ever.  In late October it will all be plain sailing.

The New Moon on 23 January will convince you that a new approach to money matters is vital.  Don’t regard advice given by someone who knows your weaknesses as well as your strengths.   Long-term plans might seem precarious when Mercury is retrograde for three weeks or so from mid-July.   However, positive news should arrive by late August.   And in September Venus will emphasise the true worth of trusted working relationships.   You could be celebrating the end of the year with a spending spree.

CAREER
There will be no short-cuts to the sense of achievement you crave, especially as your ruler, no-nonsense Saturn, hovers over a powerful point of your chart for much of the year.   A breakthrough will swell funds or enlarge your reputation under the impact of a Solar Eclipse in early summer.  However, Jupiter changing signs before clashing with Neptune could find you doing battle with figures of authority in late June.    From that point on nothing should deter you from pursuing recognition that’s long overdue. 

LOVE

All those individuals telling you how to handle your finances will be doubting your prowess.   Trust your own judgment rather than some fairly unreliable tips coming your way.    Make sure that decisions made as spring arrives are backed up with solid calculations.    Even so, you could underestimate the costs set against one particular transaction in late June.  However, by the time Saturn is allied to Neptune in early October you’ll be talking proudly about having turned a little into a lot. 

CAREER
Early 2012 will find you slaving away at a project that means a lot to you if not to anybody else.   It will seem a long haul till somebody influential takes you seriously around the time of the Full Moon in May.   This will keep you going.  And your confidence will be boosted in autumn when Saturn moves into a potent section of your chart.  Even disapproving voices of those in power won’t deter you in November when Mercury’s retrograde.  You’ll feel you’ve arrived.

LOVE
